Fox n Forests – Preview (PAX East 2018)

Ever want to be a fox in a video game? Fox n Forests is going to give you that ability in the way that only a 2D sidescroller can!
Coming this spring from Bonus Level Entertainment and Eurovideo, Fox n Forests is coming to a plethora of platforms including PC, PS4, XBO, Switch and more!
The interesting pieces about Fox n Forests are not the parts that seem blatantly obvious at first glance. Sure, it’s a platformer just like every other platformer you’ve experienced. But the different and, dare we say it, the magic of Fox n Forests are the special abilities you have while you are playing as Rick the Fox. Rick can change back and forth between seasons. In one season, presumably winter, you’ll be able to freeze things, creating ice and taking care of nuisances like bees, while also being able to use the foliage to your advantage during seasons like fall.
Fox n Forests has an amazing soundtrack, but it goes deeper than just the music. Many indie games with great soundtracks seem to not intertwine with the actual gameplay very well. In the short demo we had with the title, everything about the soundtrack just screamed that it should be paired with a game exactly like Fox n Forests.
Bonus Level Entertainment is a studio out of Munich, and this particular title was funded through Kickstarter. We’re super pumped for its release, and expect to see it do well on the charts this spring. Or winter. Or fall. Whichever season Rick decides it will be.
Okay but seriously it’s spring.
