We Don’t Deserve Limited Run Games

As video games keep evolving it’s easy to get so caught up in playing the newest AAA title that we not only forget about some of the incredible indie titles being developed today, but we also forget about all the great games that came before this generation.

Limited Run Games have been trying their hardest to make sure we don’t forget about all these cool and sometimes obscure games by putting out limited editions runs in some of the coolest packaging you’ll find. In the past few months I’ve been able to scratch my Star Wars itch while I wait for Jedi Fallen Order by picking up Bounty Hunter, now playable on PS4. That’s what is so great about Limited Run Games – they have been taking older, out of print games and making them playable on our newer consoles. It’s brilliant. They also had Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, playable on Nintendo 64, as well as Racer’s Revenge now available for the first time on PS4. Each could be purchased in a regular or collector’s editions in addition to a huge bundle that included both games. Shadows of the Empire and Star Wars for Gameboy have also received the Limited Run treatment.

The fun doesn’t just stop at Star Wars, oh no. There are so many great games available for limited times that you really should be keeping an eye on their site weekly, if not even daily. Red Faction, Turok 1 and 2 Psychonauts, Alone with You, Jak and Daxter, and Salt & Sanctuary are just a few of the incredible titles that Limited Run Games recently put out in a physical and highly collectible package.

They even recently had a Jay and Silent Bob 8 bit game available in a highly collectible playable NES cartridge. It’s remarkable that they are able to provide us with so many awesome collectibles, yet it feels like nobody is talking about how awesome their products are.

Do yourself a favor and start supporting their work so that we can continue to be blessed with so many great titles to relive or try for the very first time.
