Platinum Games and Square Enix Partner Again For Babylon’s Fall

Please Take Our Money

One of the bright spots during the questionably necessary Square Enix E3 conference was the reveal of Babylon’s Fall. Since their collaboration on last years wildly successful Nier: Automata we’ve all wondered what would come next from this developer/publisher combo. While many anticipated a sequel set in the Nier Universe, anything they create together will be wildly anticipated.

Set in a dark fantasy world with and incredibly long and rich history, Babylon’s Fall is set to take surprise us the same way that Nier: Automata did. All that we really see is a series of dates and events that lead to an uprising where humanity sets out to take back what is rightfully theirs led by a group known as “The Nomads.” After multiple world wars they seem set on bringing an end to war once and for all.

Since that’s about all we know and it makes little to no sense at this point, we just have to trust that Platinum Games is going to continue making excellent games that are story driven works of art. At this point we have no release date and the game appears to be coming out on PS4 and Steam at the beginning. Much like Nier, it could eventually find itself on Microsoft’s console, but that is yet to be seen. Check out the trailer below and for more E3 coverage keep checking back with Handsome Phantom.
