Carrion Is The Reverse Horror Game We’ve Been Waiting For – E3 Preview

Carrion is one of the newest titles unveiled by publisher Devolver Digital and developed by Phobia Game Studios and it is shaping up to be a nightmare. But that’s the point. In Carrion you play as the bad guy – an amorphous blob of flesh on a mission to destroy everything in its path.

It’s the reverse horror game that we’ve all been wanting and not realizing. Players start out as sort of a… a blob. Armed with fleshy tendrils and a taste for destruction, you’ll move the blob around some sort of laboratory facility with a thirst for flesh. The more scientists, guards, and other humans you destroy and devour, the bigger your character becomes.

Carrion is as much a horror platformer as it is a puzzle game. Not only do you need to kill and eat everyone in sight to continue to grow in size, but you’ll also need to figure out ways to unlock doors, squeeze through tight spots, and navigate your way out of this facility in which you are trapped.

We’ll have lots more on Carrion as its release date gets closer… a date for which you should be terrified.
